The very best thing about gratitude is that it opens the door for more joy to walk into your life, and when joy enters, passion is right behind it. Passion has no boundaries, no stops. Joyousness is a state of being that leads you to create those big dreams in such a way that you can only be delighted and surprised with the results. It’s because you have let go of that more controlled way of doing and have come to trust in the impulses of your heart as you allow for the greater universal flow. Embodying all that you are requires only that you trust the flow of joy enough to want more. Where passion is concerned, more is definitely better.
Passion is the stuff of creator gods—real manifestoes of greatness. The greatness I’m talking about is when you begin glowing from within and are unapologetic for being so charged up about life that you just know that whatever you imagine into creation is yours to embody. You become the life of the party because of the light that shines from within you. It’s your brilliance that naturally attracts like-hearted souls to you. They just want to be around you. These are your light brothers and sisters, the loves of your life and fellow travel companions.
While joy is the expansion, passion is the actual rush you feel when you are on fire about your path and fulfilling your purpose. You have finally arrived as the protagonist in your own play, and it’s a sell-out event. You’ve imagined your creation and designed every detail by a mere brushstroke of your heart. You’ve put all your dreams into place by merely following the inner promptings of your heart. Yep. You’re it, kid. It’s all yours to imagine, embrace and embody.
When you are passionate about life, the synchronicities pop up all over the place. All those wondrous dreams become a reality because you are not worried or concerned. There’s no time for that. You’re too busy making choices that lead you into deeper levels of connection with your source. And time is not an issue because when you are in the flow, everything falls into place—like clockwork—but this level of synchronicity requires only that you listen and align with your truth as you are guided to make choice. The manifestation takes no effort on your part because it’s already done. It’s just a matter of remembering and making choice from the vantage point of that higher river of joy.
When I need a reminder, something that always reminds me to stay in the flow, my heart lands into a cherished memory. I used to share my home with three horses: Destiny, Misha and Estrella. They were like two old men and a bossy child. Have you ever watched a horse run across a grassy field? The child among them, Destiny, used to take off across the meadow and run just as fast as he could. Why? Because his passion for freedom was stronger than just hanging out. When that happened, the swish of his tail and the strength of his stride stirred something up in the others, and before I knew it, all three were running—galloping—across the field…tails flying in the wind. It was always such a beautiful sight to see, and always surprisingly delightful. Now that was passion in its purest form.
When you do something just because joy propels you to, you’ll always find yourself in good company because the passion for life is infectious, and we are creatures of habit. We like to hang together. Remember: Light begets more light.
As long as you keep making the choice to align with Truth in each moment, joy will follow. You’ll be in good company.
